About Infectious Smile:
A pretty decent game I’d say. Got it during a big sale so the price is okay. The graphic is not bad though. It’s like looking under the microscope, watching viruses and immune system fight each other in a cool fun way. In the past I only read it from biology textbooks and had to imagine how things play out. The game has 3 types of virus, 30 levels (6 stages) and about 16 different upgrades available. Strangely, is it just me or is the way infected cells pop and explode to unleash viruses has a satisfying feel to it. Hmmm. I have played for about 20 minutes and already I strongly dislike this game. They list stats at the end of a level but never explain in the tutorial how to achieve those stats. Such as collecting DNA points. I can destroy all cells and have the phages look like they are destroying other cells and still score 0 on some stats. No idea why. The game is very one dimensional. Unless they add updates, i don’t feel it was even worth $6. I would much rather stay with Plague Inc. I’m a science enthusiast and a sucker for stuff related to the human body and the immune system and such… but I couldn’t stand 5 minutes of this “game”. First level consists of: I got 600 DNA points from that, so I thought “great, I’ll now be able to buy the upgrade to dramatically speed up cell infection that the developer must surely have included to make this game actually bearable”. Nope. Level two expects me to do the exact same things as level 1, but 9 times instead of six, without any upgrades.
