About KAT:
You’ll spend most of your time ducking behind a partially destructible barrier and dodging knifes, while peeking out to throw them at your opponents. You can also rush to your opponents side to get up close and personal, but it would be leaving yourself quite open while doing it. There isn’t really much else to this game to talk about, but the gameplay is incredibly fun and brings out the competitive nature of those playing it well. You can either play 1v1 or 2v2 matches. There’s also a practice area, but only with static targets. There is no single player. It’s online multiplayer only. Throwing the weapons is difficult to aim, as I imagine throwing actual knifes would be, but that’s part of the charm of the game. You can either aim at your opponent or use the larger weapons to try and break down part of their barricade. To win, you’ll both need your skill to aim the weapons and to choose the best action to take. If you successfully kill your opponent, new weapon skins can be unlocked by winning matches which is a nice extra for the game. The default movement style is to grab and move yourself along in a swimming motion as it describes it. This felt quite awkward to me at first and for moving a lot it still does, but actually works quite well for side to side motion needed in combat. There is also an option for trackpad which you can use either on the left or right hand.
