About Phantom Forces:
Phantom Abyss conveys a unique sense of speed, traversal, and flow that I haven’t felt in many other games; combined with its difficulty curve (which largely involves throwing more and more things at you to try and make you panic), the sensation of running, adapting, and reading the language of the game’s rooms is electric. I love the dynamic music it employs–ramping up as your experience gets more intense. This game is spectacular. It could use some more development to give it more variety and content, but it’s already enjoyable on feel alone. I think the developers have already done an amazing job building some exceptional fundamentals. I’m truly excited to see where it goes in the future. I won’t lie to you. This game is hard. It takes many attempts of just winging it before you understand everything about this game. However, even at the very beginning, this is a very intriguing concept and a fun game to play. Sure there are infuriating times when you are close to beating a level and you or the game causes you to die. But the joy of finishing a long run, facing much adversity is very fulfilling. The only problem is that you can “complete” the game in less than 20 hours if you know what you are doing. The devs just released a roadmap though and I am excited for what is to come next.
