About Traitor:
The only traitor” DLC is a 2-3 hour (I’ve beaten it in 140 mins) long expansion pack for the game “The final station”. First of all, i have to say the game looks and feels much better than the original, the animations are much smoother, the enviroments are more detailed and so on, now you need to hunt for supplies, in much larger levels, some of which go in circles so you don’t need to constantly backtrac. The price tag is nice and is definitely worth a try. The story is (as like the former) very well crafted, with it taking many interesting turns and the ending packs a nice twist to the already known characters. Protagonist now has a personality, he frequently comments about things and engages in conversations. The story takes place sometime after the first one, where the protagonist goes through the cities, the player has visited in the original. Heck, one can even meet some of the characters that appeared in the former. The travel by train is now switched with a car, not nescesarily a bad thing, but it travels through only one biome in a segment (while the former travels through three different enviroments). You can only have one survivor, each having their own story, but the car segments more look like loading screens as one has nothing to worry about, only kick back and enjoy the ride, while in the former, one had to take care of the passengers, of the train itslef (Yes taking care thing was hard, but i think its removal was a waste), conversate with other drivers and see map and read short describtions of the locations. None of it is present here. The game plays relatively the same, as a melee, the character now has a board he swipes into the enemy, but now falling back and “batting” is much slower so getting away from the attacker without getting scratched is hard. The new gun (revolver) deals much more damage than the pistol in the main game, but its the only weapon in the entire game…sadly. The protagonist now can only have one survivor with them in the car. The survivors have three different stats: “Crafting” higher the bar the less materials are used, “Medic” allowing the survivor to heal the player when in car, “Sociality” how talkative they are. When encountering said individuals one has two choices to “take” (replaces the current survivor) and “Leave” leaves them alone (though there is a bug i’ve encountered twice, when you press “leave”, the current still replaces the former survivor and i will say it P1SSED me off, especially when you are with a very likable survivor). There are 4 new types of enemies, 3 new infected (won’t spoil them) and human enemies. And all of these have their own weaknesses and tactics of approach. The game is moderately harder, when after every level you don’t magically regenerate, enemies are abundant and many fights happen in tight corridors.
